DVD Studio Pro Blue Laser?

I was making a disk today in DSP and noticed a new bubble in option under the format window and the disk/volume tab. "Blue laser" as apposed to "red laser" it is either 15gb for single layer or 30gb for dual.

Has this always been there and I just now noticed it?

This I belive was a DVD Studio 4.0 feature. As that was the first version of DSP that support HD DVD spec 1.0

I have version 4 and I do not have that option in the disc/volume tab.

I have it listed there... I haven't really noticed it before, but I think it has been there. However, when I choose "Blue Laser" and then try to make it dual layer, DVDSP crashes (tried 3 times).


I'm using DVDSP 4.1.2.

The red/blue laser option appears only if your project is set to HD DVD. If you're working on an SD DVD, you won't see those choices.

But yes, red and blue laser support has been in DSP 4.0 from the beginning, I believe.

um my projects are all sd, all the time. I've never produced a HD video for anybody.
