We don't really have one of these...just a lot of battery problem threads.

From your System Profiler>Power (so we all get the same readings).
Put down your CYCLE COUNT and your FULL CHARGE CAPACITY.
Also just for more clarification show whether you own a Macbook (CD or C2D) or a Macbook Pro (CD or C2D).

Macbook Pro C2D (purchased refurb in March)

The replacement came ridiculously fast, btw. I called on a Weds night around 9 and the new battery arrived that friday morning. Props to :apple:

Yeah, the weekends always suck when you place orders near the end of the week.

I usually use the MB while it is plugged in. Maybe I should cycle the battery a little more often.

Call Apple tomorrow (1-800-275-2273) about the battery program. (9am-6pm PST)
Or take it to a Apple Store. I called Apple and a new battery is supposed to arrive Tuesday. You will need a credit card because they want to be sure you send back the old one.

Battery efficiency dropping is one of the things that puts me off laptops!
I'd be worrying all the time about it. :(

Unfortunately all the info I have is in that article...I would guess under 80% for 100-150 cycles should get replaced. (Don't quote me on the please) (no pun intended)

OK. I called Apple this morning. I should receive a replacement battery in 3 to 4 days. The funny thing is, my battery seemed to be fine (about 95-98% capacity) BEFORE the battery update!

2010 15" MBP i5. Seems to be getting lower on an almost constant rate. If it keeps doing that it I will be it at 70% in 2 years time.

My old Samsung notebook's battery stayed fine (>95%) for around 3 years and only in the forth year it dropped within a few months to 80%. These 1000 cycle Apple batteries seem pretty bad.
