This is probably a stupid question... but is it probable that there would ever be express slot video cards? It's a bummer not being able to update your gfx card on laptops as you would on desktops, so can't they theoretically create a way to utilize express slots to do exactly this?

Have you tried googling "Expresscard video cards"?

EDIT: It's cardbus I was thinking of. Give it time and they'll be available

I don't mean a video card to hook up monitors to. I already have a MBP and it has the DVI to do that. I'm wondering if its possible that something like the NVIDIA 8xxx or ATI 1900 will soon be available in an express card enclosure

There are solutions that will allow you to use a PCI Express card through the ExpressCard slot. They're quite expensive right now. Keep on waiting.

I have looked at the Asus Xg Station before, I had wondered about adding one to a Macbook for Gaming purposes. I then went off the idea and decided that if I wanted to game, it would be much easier to save up for an xbox360 (I'm hoping to get one soon). Also i beleive it will only let you use it with an external monitor which I don't think is great. :S
