As we all know, DRM-free songs are coming to iTunes in the US and Europe. Apple has confirmed that NZ will get the DRM-free versions too, and they will be $2.49 each. Presumably full albums will still be $17.99. The release date is yet to be confirmed, but it'll probably be at the same time as the US and Europe (ie. sometime in May).

they said it was $1.49 each
 
Well, they're here, and they changed their mind: They're $2.39. Albums are still $17.99, and I've already bought one 😎

Song upgrades are 60 cents. Unfortunately, album upgrades are $5.40 (I haven't confirmed either of these prices as I hadn't bought any EMI albums, but I've seen them mentioned online).
