We've got a new rolltop desk and my Cinema Display is exactly one half inch too tall to fit inside, so annoying. So I need to replace the lovely Apple base with some butt ugly plastic thingamobob that will allow the display to slide up and down, like the new Dell LCD stands. In fact, one of those would work just great but I can't find any way to purchase one from Dell. So, can anyone recommend something similar? I've searched online a ton but always end up with ergonomic arm type VESA mounts. I just need a simple height-adjustable base that can hold my 20". Thanks for any help!:)

There are some on this Uk site (http://www.wedgwood-group.com/lcd_monitor_desk_stands.htm). That was the result of a Google search for "VESA desk stand"

thanks for the link. i've come across these before though, all too crazy for my needs. even the "basic" ones are way pricey in U.S. dollars. i don't need "gas assisted" pneumatics or anything. thanks again though. :)
