View Full Version : Where on this site can the madness go down?

No, not the band.
I know I have gone a little mad myself here, but I always edit myself in the morning when I go to far. But, where can we talk about different theories on why Steve Jobs could be the anti-christ? Or pornographic vegetables, paranoid delusions about evil robots, who smells the funniest, a place to put pictures of Balmer photoshoped into sick and funny situations, the list goes on and on.
Nothing serious, I just live here and need a place for a good chuckle. It could be in the community discussion thread under a different subcategory with politics and religion.
I vote for the title: The Funny, Crazy, or Just Plain Wierd

Erm...make the wasteland editable?

If there was a category like this, the wasteland would be saved for stupid, duplicate or rude threads.

So stupid, rude threads that are not duplicate would go in the forum you're suggesting?

Well stupid could be ok, if it was a little funny.
I understand the private forums, but maybe an NSFW thread might spice it up a little

But, where can we talk about different theories on why Steve Jobs could be the anti-christ?
Try it in the PRSI forum, but you better have some good evidence, a lot of faith, or at least a list of talking points from a major political party that correspond with your idea.
Or pornographic vegetables
This really doesn't need to be posted on Macrumors...I think most of us know which ones are shaped correctly. If you need some pointers, do a google search. The video with the broccoli and the turkey is pretty funny.
paranoid delusions about evil robots
Community forum.
who smells the funniest
How are we gonna vote in this one?...get back to me when technology actually allows us to smell other people on the forum.
a place to put pictures of Balmer photoshoped into sick and funny situations
There's a Caturday thread...maybe Wednesday is Balmerday?

You could do what I do. Buy a medium-sized soap box and place it in a supermarket carpark during a Saturday morning. Stand on it and discuss your evil theories of Steve's captioned cats to your heart's content. Ask someone to take a photo and then post it in our Digital Photography forum.

Now this thread is the #1 hit on Google for pornographic vegetables.
Wish I could get top ranking so easily.
Maybe I should start whittling my carrots and look out for lewd spuds to dig up.

Why are you looking up "pornographic vegetables"? Answer with pictures, if possible.

Dude, you should start from the basics: Macrumors is a web site to learn and exchange information about macintosh computers. It is not a way of living or a paralel reality. You are spending too much time in a computer just doing nothing.
Spend time in the real world even you feel there is boring or there is nothing to do. But do not waste your time "socializing" in a web site.

forums are not chatrooms albeit hard to tell from reading posts in the private forum. most get wastelanded others get lockedd which throw some people into spasms and threats of leaving.

Well said that Internet-based entity (who could be either male or female)!!
MR = Mac stuff, a bit about current events and bitching about George Bush. That's your lot :)

I have to touch a dell for 8 hours a day in a cube. Eww.. I've got TPS reports coming out of my ears. I am not allowed to socialize at work, so I play around here when I need to take a break.
Even though this site is more for helping each others technical problems, and spreading rumors, everyone seems to have a good sense of humor. I split my time between jokes and helping others. I just wanted a place that we could fool around in and not have things deteriorate into politics, whining, and people getting angry.
As for pornographic vegetables, I didn't invent that term. It was J.C. on Coast to Coast AM. He accused Art Bell of using them to make his sinful "Pizza Punch" sauce. Now that guy is crazy. :)
What would happen if I started a thread with suggestive vegetables doing unusual things? Probably wastelanded right? Now if I photoshop Balmer into beastiality porn and ask people to put quotes in the bubbles what would happen.... I would bet on banned. I don't want that, so I don't do that.
I think this community is big enough for a playground of sorts.

Are there different rules for the private forum? I am probably about to join anyway, but I would like to know if that would be more of the "playground" I want?
I could tag it as: " Do not click me if you are at work" or NSFW. Because I have found some really nasty stuff I am photoshopping right now!

Because I have found some really nasty stuff I am photoshopping right now!We don't allow NSFW images or posts anywhere in the forums, including in the private forum for those with paid memberships. That's because there are members of all ages (minimum 13) in both the public forums and the private forum.
The purpose in paying for membership, for those who choose to do so, is to support the site. Access to the private forum, avoiding ads, and a special user title are small benefits we give in return.

Thanks Doc, I will keep it clean, just as I always have. I didn't even think about kids. I will stick to the silly, crazy and just plain goofy.
BTW- This is a good thread for in case anyone else has the same idea.
$25 coming your way, I will miss those vista adds!
