Classic Corny Background Music?

Hey guys- Im doing a project for school- a classic low quality quick edit. I was wondering if there was some universal type list that provides all the classic background music you have seen in the movies. I mean, I have no idea what any of those songs names are. Sorry i am not very specific, but as i said i have no idea what the names are. One song that i am referring to is the song you always here when something really dramatic is happening, and then it is in slow motion.. With this loud music playing in the backgorund..
