Is Adobe taking the standard approach here (the forgetting to turn it back on part not being standard of course...)? Can't changes be made to the firewall without disabling it?

1) Don't know, probably
2) Yes

Glad I saw this (linked from another post)...I just turned mine back on. Didn't really matter anyway because I'm behind a hardware firewall (router) anyhow, but...never can be 'too' secure. ;)
