Josh? Send me your paypal info via the PM I sent.
You see, he never responded even in his first thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=304822).
I think you are also not alone in sending him PM without any answer.

When he tried to sell it to me, he said it was a MBP charger (maybe he has two?), then up'd the price when someone apparently offered more via PM, and then when that person backed out, still wanted the price they'd offered.
Don't think I'll ever be doing business with this guy. Not saying he'd never follow through on an actual sale that'd been paid for, but when it comes to dealing online, I'm pretty picky about who I deal with.

Although he hasn't been particularly honest in his dealings, its important to note taht at least he isn't taking anyone's money. So its not like he's criminal, hes probably never heard of a "feeler"

Agreed. Online dealing is already risky, so we should really only deal with ones that showed proper etiquette. Etiquette include prompt response, above all.

Demi-God or not, I'm quite sure I was the first to reply in your previous thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=304822). But no matter now.
Next time, if you don't have time to check your proposed sales, please refrain from posting them in the first place.
danny_w (nothing against you, danny) posted his WTB thread yesterday. However many people, among which kingjr3 and I expressed willingness to buy far before that. Any trading etiquette?

Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. You can offer to those who also asked you about it. Please forgive me, and understand that I don't feel that I can trust you at this point.

Guys,
I sold Josh West a Powerbook a year ago. Since then we have Im'd and emailed almost on a daily basis discussing everything and anything mac. I have watched him sell things on these boards and ebay as well and never seen any complaints. I know he was moving because he hasn't been on line since Friday that I've seen him. I am sure this is just a bit of miscommunication. Just my 2 cents. Thanks

I too have dealt with Josh in the past, sold him my Dell 20" - however, what he did was NOT COOL at all.
The "excuse" about not being online is ******** too, Josh. You see, there is a last active date on everyone's profile and I saw that you logged in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - so you are obviously not that busy. Wait, how would you do that if you were moving? In fact, I even saw you browsing other Marketplace threads too, so how could you have missed responding to your own?
So if you had a deal with danny_w, why would you post another FS thread for the same thing? Your responses are filled with lies and you are only looking for the best deal. It's a shame that you would tarnish your own reputation for a few bucks more on a freakin' power adapter.
In any case, I won't ever deal with you (joshwest) again and this post will be record of your shady transaction(s). You are a much better buyer than seller, that is for sure.
If I only had some pull, I'd get this thread stickied!

Give me a break guys, if your saying that i am looking for the best deal and ruining a reputation with 2 macrumors members over a few bucks, your wasting your time and crying over a power adapter deal just so you can save a few bucks.. i was on macrumors, a little this weekend but not alot of time to respond. just because you say hey i want to buy this doesn’t mean i have to sell it to you, i mean this is a forum right. Danny actually PM'd first and he also wanted to buy a tech shell case from me. so instead of two transaction i squashed it with one. that’s my real reason instead of selling it out. I could of ebayed the dang thing for more but i offered it on macrumors. at least i didn’t take everyone’s money and run like several other people have on this forum and those transactions didnt even cause a stink like this one.

1. MR tracks posts everyone makes. You posted several times on each of the days you said you were "too busy to respond". Proper seller etiquette says you respond promptly.
2. You set like 3 different prices for that charger, all of which people responded quickly to and were willing to pay. First to me, for $50 shipped (and then later $60 shipped ), then a thread for $55 shipped which Bearbo responded to within 30 minutes alongside 2 other potential buyers, and finally this thread for $45 shipped... Why so many threads? Why abandon so many potential sales? Why not keep people updated? Furthermore, you then went ahead and sold it to someone who had never even posted in your threads!
3. You tried to sell it to me as a completely different product...!
No, you never stole money or let someone pay for an item and then never delivered it.. and no one has accused you of doing so. However, there is proper selling etiquette that most people around here expect.. and you completely failed in that regard. This isn't about a charger or a few bucks anymore. Unfortunately for you, these things DO have a negative impact on your selling reputation. As Bearbo put it - dealing online is risky, and in order to avoid being scammed, buyers have to pay attention to ALL the warning signs - not just once someone has actually scammed a fellow member.
