ok so i made a video on imovie that is around 40 mb. i try to put it on youtube and a page comes up with some error. can i put imovie videos on youtube? if so what am i doing wrong?

Have you exported it to a different format I would put it at CD quality unless its a really short film.

You need to export it before you can upload it, Youtube wont take an imovie project.

I'm pretty sure that You tube has a max of around 10MB. Exporting will get it well under that amount.

YouTube's recommendations:
MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
320x240 resolution
MP3 audio
30 frames per second
To achieve these settings, open your iMovie project. Go to file > export. Then select "quick time" and expert settings. Then you can change the settings to the ones listed above. 🙂
