Possible to change username?

Is it possible to change your main username in OSX? Like when you open Finder and it lists Desktop, Applications, Music, etc. and the name you choose. I seem to recall that it said it can't be changed when I was setting it up, but I was rushing through everything b/c I wanted to use my new Mac. Thanks!
