Heard this song on Howard Stern many years ago. The singer was the woman from Ednaswap (Anne) but her new group was Annetenna. Loved the song.

I don't like this version, but I like Ednaswap's radio version way better than Natalie Imbruglia's cover.

Yeah, I don't really like this version either. I like the one on their self-titled album the best.

It is a fine pop rendition. It wasn't supposed to be groundbreaking, just a good tune.

Why is everyone so hard on Natalie Imbruglia? This version is decent too.

It's mostly a gut reaction to the fact that she sort of stole the song, that she actually released her single while they were planning to release theirs, before many people even knew about them, so everyone (including me) thought the song was written by her. And she understandably tried to keep that illusion going.
