I would like that iChat AV was MS Netmeeting, Microsoft RTC server ,gnome Meeting, SUN Furom, SGImeeting & HP Visualize Conference compatible, you know, you can share your desktop and apps with other so you can performe a virtual colaboration work, no just video & audio conferencing.

what do you think?

Microsoft NetMeeting, MSN Messenger , SunForum, gnomemeeting, HP Visualize Conference & SGIMeeting are free apps..., so I don't understand why apple can't come with a true collaboration app (iChat AV final?)

you can edit your posts to add in random thoughts you've had seconds after posting. it's rude to double post like that.

are all those other apps even compatible with each other? anyways, i really don't think that such is in the scope of this app. it's kind of a chatty, less formal sort of program. i could be wrong, but use your head. if they planned compatibility that big, don't you think they would have touted it at WWDC?

Did Microsoft stop making Messenger for Mac? That pisses me off...I wanna use iChat, but of course, everyone I know uses Messenger because they have PCs. The Mac version has always been about a year behind the PC one, and now it won't even exist. Sometimes it doesn't seem like the Mac and PC world are getting closer together at all, just farther apart.

who cares? ;)

to respond to the O.Q.

it's really probably up to other mentioned companies to catch up to apple on this one (per usual)... i'm guessing apple would love to connect with them and get some teamwork going for more compatibility, but they can only do so much....

as for it being a free app... only til end of the year, at least with jaggy.
