Doctor Q (http://forums.macrumors.com/member.php?u=12149) started posting in the color FF00FF 3 days ago (May 30).
We all know Dr. Q well enough to know he has a very good reason, but he isn't divulging that information just yet, so it's up to us to figure it out.
Any ideas?

What is siurpeeman up to with this color?
To my eyes, his color looks the same as my color, but I know I can't really tell. DigitalColor Meter.app tells me they are quite different.

i'm getting pretty anxious, too. nearly every day i give my husband a little countdown time to the release date - actually, i give him several based on the multiple dates being thrown around out there. at this point, he probably wants the iphone to be released asap so i will stop reciting the countdown daily. :p
They look the same to me too.

Ooh, maybe we should argue about whether black is or is not a color. I say it is, since it's the same as dark red.

If it's included in a box of crayons, it's a color. ;)

If it's not, I've been paying way too much for printer cartridges just to add a non-color to the arsenal. :)

Sorry, black isn't a hue (color); rather, it's a "achromatic color" (which is such an oxymoron). Either is white, sort of... White is a shade, but not a hue. White, can also be considered a achromatic color because after all, it's not a hue, only a shade. A shade, is in fact, the mixture of a color with black, while a tint is the mixture of a color with white.
So the real question here is, since white is a shade, is black a tint?
(This is what I get for using Wikipedia.)
Depending on your color space, black can be the absence of all color (R=G=B=0) or the presence of all colors (C=M=Y=100).
So perhaps the question also depends on the medium. In our case, viewing forum pages on the web in RGB color, black would technically be the absence of all colors.
This is complicated somewhat by the fact that it is unlikely that even R=G=B=0 will provide a "true" black that contains no other color contamination, primarily because of the imperfect ability of a CRT or LCD to produce a true absence of color.
Therefore, I'd maintain that in the context of this forum, black would indeed be a color.

It's fatandlazy11 the king of annoyance, as he likes to be called. (He insists I add the "King" part to it)
