I am trying to rip clips of video off of a DVD movie, and I was wondering if there was a way to do this using iMovie or iDVD or something. I haven't done a lot of video editing or anything, but I have a few certain clips of a movie that I want to add to a presentation, and I was wondering if anyone could help me.

That's pretty easy to do, but not with iMovie or iDVD. There are a lot of programs, but the most widely used among Mac users is probably Handbrake. It's easy and free, and has quite a few options (although standard works pretty well)
