Hello All,

I am new to these forums. I am a long time PC user that is looking to move into the world of Macs.

I do however still need the ability to work on and use PC’s.

I would like to know if there is a KVM switch that will work on both the Macs and PC’s.

I need something that will work with a DVI connector.

What I am not sure of is the keyboard/ mouse connector for the Mac. Is it a standard USB connector? If so then I think a KVM that supports both USB & PS2 will accommodate my needs.

Any advice would be helpful. I have been trying to do some research and do my learning before I buy.

Another question I have: Is there a product that will allow me to go from an ADC connector to a DVI connector?

I was thinking of getting a pair of the Cinema displays, but I will still possess the need to use them through the KVM and I will have a PC connected to the KVM in addition to the MAC.

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Chris

I recall Belkin (www.belkin.com) had cross-platform KVM switches available.

Do you know if Dr Bott's KVMs suport keyboard-based switching or if it's only via the knob on the unit?
