"Back up the disk and use disk utility to format it as a single Mac OS extended (journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again.

I have gone in to disk utility, and I have no idea what it is talking about, any ideas!??

If you've backed up your hard drive, you'll probably have to reboot the computer, reinstall OS X, and then run Boot Camp. But that's an uneducated guess, and probably too drastic.
