New MBP-what happened Robson Flash & 800mhz memory?

I have noticed that nothing has been said about the lack of Robson flash memory built into the new MBPs, is this something that Intel is now not implementing into Santa Rosa?

Also, what the hell happened to 800 mhz memory, according to Apples website it is still 667...

Otherwise I am liking the other upgrades a lot, better resolution on the 17inch is LONG over due, as are the LED displays. Loving the 4 gigs of RAM and a switch to far superior Nvidia graphics cards as well.

And what the hell does a Macintosh user want with Robson flash? Like Macintoshs run with a OS superior enough to utilise it.

kingston actually do 800mhz so dimms at upto 1GB size :)

Nope, they come on separate modules.

The MBP is probably too crammed packed inside for Apple to include something that they cannot put on the advertisement flyers.

Well maybe you're wrong, and Intel's old specs didn't account for 800Mhz DDR2 SODIMM coming onto the market as quickly as they did. It could be that 800Mhz is supported, just that spec's at the time Santa Rosa was being implemented didn't show this, because other than Transcend, no companies has 800Mhz available. newegg lists a 160GB hybrid NAND flash notebook drive from Samsung. I expect anandtech to do a follow up to their article, which MR Admin's failed to emphasize, did not test the 'ReadyDrive' portion of Robson, just the ReadyBoost.
