So, once my current 12" PB G4 sells (which it looks like it will in the next day or two), I'm going to immediatly pick up a new MacBook, which comes with the 199 iPod credit.

Now, I've had a bunch of iPods over the years and just never use them to their full extent. Therefore, I'm going to put up the idea of selling the 199 credit. How this offer works is whoever gives me the best offer can tell me what iPod they'll like. Then, when I buy my MacBook, I'll buy that iPod as well. Then, once you pay me for the credit + anything over the 199 in the price of the iPod, I'll ship it to you. I won't open it or anything, it'll go straight in the mail.

Here's an example of how I see this working:
You offer $175 for the credit and want the 30GB iPod ($249 on the apple.com edu store, which I'm still technically a college student for 3 more months, so I can use).
You would then pay me 175 + (249 - 199) = $225 for a brand new 30GB iPod. This is a $25, or 10% savings on a brand new, never opened, iPod.

Thanks,

Ben

It's not a credit, it's a mail in rebate. Unfortunately you'll have to open the iPod to cut out the UPC to get your rebate.

Just like the past couple years, there will be alot of people selling nanos on here due to this promotion. I think a reasonable offer is around $100.

Also, the 12in PB is the sweeeetest laptop Apple has made...don't get rid of it!

Hmm, well, I guess if I have to cut off the UPC, then you'll get a semi opened with part of the box missing brand new iPod. :-p.

I guess I don't see how this is only worth 50% of the offer....I can sell the iPod for more than 150 bucks. I'd just keep a free iPod (in any flavor) for that kind of price. Anyways, for those interested great, for those not, oh well.

I'm willing to deal with the BS of the mail in rebate, so in effect, it'll be a rebate for all intensive purposes for this case. In any matter, some of the appeal of this is that you get to choose which iPod you want the discount on, not necessarily the nano.

Thanks,

Ben

Sorry, we can't allow this sale, as you do not have ownership of the item at this time. You are more than welcome to purchase an iPod of your own choosing through this program and then offer it for sale here once you are in possession of it.
