I have the perfect plan:

1. Ship it to me
2. PayPal me $1000, or as much as possible
3. I'll sort the rest

 Not so secret plot anymore :D

Use it and enjoy it. If you deliberately break something in hopes of getting a new one, there are a few things that might happen:

1. They figure it out and tell you to piss off.
2. They give you a new one, but revise their replacement plans in the future, making it worse for people who actually have problems.
3. Give you a refurb of similar spec to yours, making the whole endeavor useless anyway.

I believe there is a 3 repair replacement guarantee. If you have Applecare, you might get lucky if it breaks 3 times and they are out of stock on refurbished MacBook Pros.

Yup. I had to have my Core Duo MBP repaired 3 times. After the fourth break down they finally gave me a Core 2 Duo machine :) And I must say that I love it.

Might take some serious phone sex or a blowjob to accomplish that feat with the service managers ... or simply sell the machine and buy a new one.

Oh, that's easy. It's an Apple laptop, remember? Chances are it will need at least three repairs in the first six months. So just have patience and you'll get the latest and greatest soon...
