Description:: If you are in the market for a great sounding bookshelf audio system for your home, office, or dorm, you cannot go wrong with the JBL Spot. The sound quality of the Spots is on par with much more expensive systems, and their unique look and optional skins should prove a hit with those who wish to have their speakers make as much of a visual statement as they do an audio one.

So I guess these are the rightful successors to the Creatures. Very nice looking system, though I can't justify upgrading my current set of Creatures quite yet.

At least I learned from that review a valuable tip that is also applicable to my Creatures: pressing both volume buttons at the same time mutes the speakers. I'd been struggling with that for ages; I switch back and forth between listening on headphones and speakers quite a bit and plugging in headphones to the front audio jack on my G5 tower doesn't mute the rear output automatically. Guess I should have RTFM'ed sooner. :o :(

Can someone explain why the Apple US store has the JBL Spot speakers priced at $99.95, and the JBL Spyro speakers at $129.95, BUT
on the Canadian Apple Store, BOTH the Spot and Spyro speakers are priced at $159.95?
