I bought a new hard drive for my macbook and the original has a silver case around it and it looks like its screwed (one screw on each corner) on to the hard drive. The new hard drive that I bought which is a seagate momentus 7200.1 100gb doest have the same case but it has the screw holes there for it, do I need to put the case from the original hd on to the new hd? The only thing I can see that the case does is it has that white pull tab on it to remove the hard drive from the computer.
Thanks

Yes, put the new drive into the caddy before putting the whole thing back into your MacBook.

Yup don't forget to unscrew it. I almost shoved my HD in straight away when I first got it. Good thing I asked myself "how the hell does it come out since this one doesn't have a tag?" Then I realised what I had to do. :p
