View Full Version : Sims 2 - Raunchy?

I was just wondering what your opinion on the Sims 2. My younger siblings really liked the first ones, but I am weary to have them get it because the trend for the expansions was to make it raunchier and raunchier. There was never any sex in the game, but it became more and more implied.

How does Sims 2 compare to Sims 1 as far as inuendo is concerned?

As far as I can remember, the two games were practically identical in terms of adult content. AS you've pointed out, the expansion packs do up this level slightly, but from past experience, I would say that if you felt safe enough to let your children on the Sims 1, then it's sequel shouldn't be a problem :)

It seems to me that the out of the box Sims 2 very much implies sexual content.

WHich is why it's rated T for teen ;)

If your siblings aren't teens, then.. well..

The first one was T as well, but after going over it, I felt fine about it. There was inuendo, but it was more about house life and neighbor relationships than dating and what that leads to. I'm more looking for a comparison to the first one.

From what I can recall, once two Sims (btw, this can be M-F, F-F, or M-M in case you happen to care) fall in love, there is the possibility of sex, although the actual act happens under the covers so no explicit images are shown. Definitely adult content here, although probably no more so than primetime TV.

It's all done in a very cartoon-ish way, very tounge in cheek, but when they "whoopee" you see the covers moving around and murmered noises... so it's not full blown sex but it's more than "implied".

it's woohoo. my 7 year old sister plays it and when she was really addicted she kept saying that she had to make two sims try for babies of woohoo. It was very akward.
