Over at Silicon Strategies (http://www.siliconstrategies.com/story/OEG20030623S0080)

Once again Moto speaks about 90-nm PPCs sometime next year.

SBN So when will you transfer SOI to Crolles?

Simson: It's starting now. Test chips will run in Crolles in the summer and a PowerPC will run next year.
We pretty consistently get a 25 to 35 percent performance over plain CMOS
and that's what we'll be looking for with a 90-nm PowerPC next year.

Yeah, he's full of it. No vision, no commitment to anything except cell phones and a wireless device that IMs. :o

Just like the new smaller portions that Kraft is putting out to "combat obesity", Moto does the same by releasing this BS. It's all a public relations campaign to paint a different picture over the one that already exists with words. Somebody needs to get the where with all to tell them that it can't happen without the paint brush!
