"reseting" a mac

I just recieved my grandmother's old g4 "new imac". She has loads of her crap on it and I would like to wipe it clean and start it from scratch. I do not own an OS disk, so I cannot format it. Any ideas?

You could by buy a retail copy of tiger, then perform an erase and install.

I do have my old G3 that has my music and everything on it. Is it possible to overwirte my new HD with the old mac stuff?

short of doing it manually...u'll need a tiger (or panther, if you want to scab around) to totally clean the HDD

you could look around the internet for one of those uninstall programs

As everyone else said, do yourself a favour and get some OSX discs. Panther will be cheaper and possibly faster than Tiger, so don't feel you have to spend top dollar on getting the latest OS.
