os9 and os x software install question...

if you have software that installs in 9 but has a patch for x and you just have x on your computer how can you install it?? i've tryed and it looks for an os 9 boot disc

yea it does that...
cause with the Sims Carbonization patch, it looked like it was for os9, but just install it
and it should change it.
if not..look in the app's folder and see if theres a new icon for the carbonized one. thats what the sims did. it made a new icon. and it didn't tell me or anything. just one of those things.
