...to all involved in bringing and organising the coverage from WWDC today. Best work I've seen on this site so far, you should all be very pleased and proud of yourselves for the effort you've put in and the results we've seen here today.

Just simply terrific... guys (and gals) :)

Great sentiments BV, I completely agree. We are fortunate to have so many hard working and dedicated individuals behind the scenes, on site, etc. to put this all together. A big thank you from myself as well. Very impressed with the coverage, this has been excellent.

Now back to finding out more about Safari on Windows! :D ;)

I want to especially thank SilentWave because of the excellent job he did (as did the others), mainly because I harped on him getting a Premier Developer Membership a few months ago and yet he used it to help the site so much today. Thanks, SilentWave! :)

In the last year our live event coverage has gone from no photos to small photos (200x133) to medium-size photos (300x201), and the text feed has moved from a "refresh" system to a "continuous update" system.

Since we're working without a net (live transmissions instead of our usual editorial quick-review process), a few typos always sneak through, but none that interfere with your getting the keynote news as soon as it happens.

We kept the ad presence modest, but of course we hope you took notice of our sponsors and will buy everything they sell. :)

We will continue to look for ways to improve our coverage and we definitely appreciate your feedback.

Okay well somebody has to stop the powers that be from sitting back and patting themselves on the back too hard, so.....

....What a rubbish job....I mean where was the behind the scenes footage, where was the Mr Jobs confessional, what happened to the WWDC Spy Cam...... No No No I think you have a lot more work to do......

So back you go next year, and do it properly :D

where was the behind the scenes footage, where was the Mr Jobs confessional, what happened to the WWDC Spy Cam...We have that too, but only for the MacRumors P'latinum Club members. A bargain at 4096 bars of gold-pressed latinum per year. But that's instead of the regular membership price, not in addition to it! ;)

It was nice to have something to read for 1 1/2 hours... Then to avoid the forums for a day due to the expected whiners... :P

On a side note, I just noticed IGN (http://pc.ign.com/articles/795/795529p1.html)mentioned MacRumors:

New id Engine Showcased at WWDC
John Carmack is showing off an "insanely detailed world."
by Daemon Hatfield

June 11, 2007 - Over at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, going on as this is typed, John Carmack is showing off id's secret new game engine. MacRumors.com is reporting that Carmack took the stage and showed off the engine for the first time.

The demonstration apparently showcased an "insanely detailed world" made up of 20GB of textures. Carmack says developers will have an unprecedented level of flexibility when building things with the engine. Textures can be manipulated until the cows come home with little to no performance hit. Carmack also said he can "build game first, then throw artists at it," although it is unclear at this time exactly what is meant by that.

The demonstration was put together in just 10 days. id will be showing off more of the engine at E3 next month. We'll have more information on this new technology as it surfaces.
