Just curious

I am fairly certain I will be purchasing a new MBP, and I was wondering if and when I decide to purchase 4gb of ram, would the old sticks work in my Powerbook?

Powerbook G4 1.5 (ram - PC2700) vs MBP (ram PC5300)

Would it blow up the PB, or would it just automatically lower itself to the slower speed?

hopefully I explained myself sufficiently. I am sort of hardware challenged.
Thank you.

You can use it, but as you said it'll just slow down. So really you might as well buy the cheaper ram rather then spend extra money on the 5300 for no reason.
