Today June 11th, 2007 Ted Koppel slammed Hillary Clinton for mileading campaign comments about her plans for the war if she is elected.

Democrats are telling voters that if they are elected, all U.S. troops will be pulled out of Iraq. But as Sen. Hillary Clinton privately told a senor military adviser, she knows there will be some troops there for decades. It's an example of how in some cases, politics can force dishonesty.

i'm not exactly fond of hillary, but i think that all politicians lie. and i have a feeling that no matter who gets elected, we will remain in iraq much longer, if not forever.

Frankly, I don't trust any of the Big Money candidates.

The whole system needs to re-vamped in favor of We The People

vs. Them The Lobbyists for Big Business.

We also need to change the way legislators decide on a Bill.

One subject- One Vote Yes Or No.

No pork no earmarks.

It seems that every Bill submitted forces Congress to accept bad with the good.

With single subject legislation, that would truly reform legislation.

Back to Hillary.

From the very beginning, she's been far too wishy washy for my trust.
She always seem to attempt to tell the people what they want to hear,
but never really takes a firm position.

Is she just being a typical polititian? Or should we consider someone
with more guts?

I so hope Hillary doesn't get the nomination. Although a big step up from Bush/Cheney, America with her as President will remain just as divided and partisan as now. Your country needs a leader rather than just another plodding politician, and after the current bunch preferably one without any ties to the arms industry.

I think this would be a good start in the right direction.

Recently heard on the radio, the size of some of the bills these days. It seems that very few in congress read the entire bill. There is simply too much to digest.

On a lighter note, I had a friend (he passed away several years ago) who in order to marry his Japanese bride, required an act of congress...literally. I forget the bill, but there was a one page rider that authorized by name and SSN about 18 folks (if memory serves) to get married to Japanese citizens. This happened around 1950. A very interesting piece of legislation.

Last I heard, she and Obama were in a dead heat. I would expect her numbers to start sliding soon.

It's getting to the point where anyone who makes it this high on the power ladder regardless of proclaimed party affiliation, is nothing more than a

I've never registered as a Dem for a primary, but I might just to vote for someone else. If she wins, the Dems won't. Especially up against Rudy, no matter how awful he really is.

I don't think she'll repeat the scream heard 'round the world. I agree with your analysis though, i.e. I think that Rudy is one candidate that would beat her head to head. All bets are off on other head to head comparisons though.

We need some other choice and it must be someone who will protect the Constitution at all costs.
