aspell problems

So I'm messing around with FinkCommander, looking for some nifty apps to try out. I found aSpell, which sounded great, so I went to work through a terminal.app window and downloaded and installed, I thought. I guess this is one of those that has to be compiled and installed. I'm not that smart. Could anyone help me out here? thanks. 🙄
