Spontaneous reset

Here's an odd one, my 1.25 Mac mini reset itself, no bookmarks, no memory of email accounts, every program I open is registering as it has never been opened, no keychain, no nothing.

I haven't installed anything on it as it isn't the primary machine any longer but I use it as an archive for emails, etc.

Wondering if anyone has any idea what could cause this?

I made a clone of my Macbook disk, could I restore from this clone to the mini or would it be better to use the migration assistant and transfer the settings from the MB to the mini?

Actually figured out the problem, I renamed a folder...opps:cool:

I experienced the same problem today. After having read your post I figured out that I did the same thing yesterday. I tried to change the name of a folder in lefthandside of the finder window. Now, all my settings have reset and all my documents that I had saved on the desktop have dissapeared!!!!!
Help.. how do I get it back..??
I have an imac G5..
