Buggy widgit?

I downloaded a widgit off of the apple website. All of a sudden, once I installed it, the screen went black and I heard a clicking sound in the back of my iMac G5. I restarted and went to see if it work once I restarted, but again, the screen went black, but I didn't hear a clicking sound. Could this be the computer or is it just the widgit? THanks for any help! Another widgit I downloaded at the same time worked fine. It just seemed to occur when I ran this one problamatic widgit.:confused:

2. Can you boot in safe mode fine?

When I had some monitor problems (Different from yours) a simple PRAM reset fixed it.
