I will be buying my first mac when leopard comes out. Is the release of leopard going to affect the price of a new mac computer?

There might even be a new iMac around the release of leopard. Wouldn't that be nice!?

So if you purchase a mac now, you have to buy the upgrade when it comes out? Or if you buy within the time frame of announcement / release, its free upgrade?
Anyone know?
thanks

Both of those statements are basically true.
If you buy a Mac now you pay the full retail price for an upgrade (all boxed copies are upgrades basically) so $129.
If you buy once an actual shipping date is announced you can normally upgrade for shipping costs. An actual date is normally announced 2-4 weeks in advance.
So the chances are if you want a free upgrade you have to wait till late September to buy a new Mac.

I believe the period of 14 days before Leopard that you might get a free update.
