working on a new logo for myself. I like these colours, but not sure what direction. attached are 4 initial variations. let me know if any of these appeal to you or stand out or if they do not?

btw, I am a freelance graphic designer and would like to keep the logo clean and simple but something that portrays a good design sense etc.

cool. thanks!

edit - gone back to the drawing board

VD is not very pleasant...
well thats what i heard.

apart from that, i think they need to be simplified even further.

none of them do much for me. Top right one appears to spell the name incorrectly?

It's incongruous to present the name Vivid in such non-vivid colour.

As mentioned the acronym VD has bad connotations and should be avoided.

true.

if you want a solid background to design of this nature.
have a read about "gestalt theory"

you will be surprised

cant really say I like any of them either to be honest.

And next time could we get a jpeg/gif or something please, saves having to download the pdf.

I like the typeface you've used on the left. Just use that - no need for any symbol or 'VD' letters :)

Definitely abandon the VD, it just conjures up a very scary image !!!

Personally I like design number 4 ... :)
