Anyone have any cool examples of Photo Galleries?

I am looking for ones coded in PHP and CSS, not flash. I can make thumbnails look good but I have a hard time with the larger versions, they never seem large enough. Just lookin for some ideas. I want the site to look creative but still feature the pictures on it as the most importiant element.

I don't know of any that use PHP, but there are plenty out there that use JS, CSS, and HTML. If that would work, take a look at Lightbox (http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/) or GreyBox (http://orangoo.com/labs/GreyBox/).

I generally use gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com). It has the option to not resize large versions if you want.

I use DAlbum (http://dalbum.org/), seems to meet your requirements (PHP, CSS).
It's multiuser too, makes thumbnails and preview size images automatically and has nice folder management.

I use zen photo (http://www.zenphoto.org). It was the easiest to set up and manage for my needs. Zen photo is plain and simple.
