Hey Guys,

I just got my first Macbook after using a PC for many years. I have a linksys router that I have my PC connected to. I'm trying to connect my Macbook to it using the Network Setup Assistant, but am having problems with the password. I go to the screen where I choose which wireless network I want to join. I choose my linksys, and it tells me that my "selected network requires a password". I type in the WEP key for the linksys, assuming it's the "password", but it isn't working after numerous tries. Anyone mine telling what I'm supposed to type in?

Download wep key maker: http://homepage.mac.com/chally/toolsandutils.html

Put your linksys password into it and it will spit out the hex password (bunch of numbers and letters)

Insert what it spits out into the password dialogue popup and make sure to put a $ before the password.

I'm on my PC right now, so is there a windows version of that?

I don't have any ethernet cables laying around, so I can't connect to the internet using my Mac.
