The same image and quite the difference in Firefox and Safari (top right) as opposed to Aperture.

This is "normal". Safari respects and uses the colour profile in the image that is embedded there by Aperture. Firefox, IE and all other browsers ignore it and incorrectly display the image.

Yeah, it's common but it sucks. Firefox 3 is rumored to be able to read colour profiles properly, but until then we basically have to suck it up and hope people realise that the photo in Firefox isn't true to life.

Yes, the fact remains that OS X plus Safari is still the only platform for reliably viewing photos and artwork with colour precision. The way your photo looks on a PC will be unpredictable and all over the place, with no browsers doing colour-correction, no system-wide colour profiles, and all manner of mis-adjusted monitors.

Funny you brought this up, I was wondering about spending hours editing a photo then half of the people that would see it, would not see the photo as it was meant to be seen. If Safari projects this feature properly to windows users, then maybe that will give FF a kick in the rear.
