same icon all documents?

for some reason I can't figure out how to have all documents of a certain type use the same icon, like all keynote files generated will use (insert icon.)
can someone help me out, or maybe there isn't a way to do this?

for all i know the icons are put in place by the application that creates them. i think you would need to hack each specific application.
 
hmm, that's no good, anyone know of an app that might do this then?
