hello!

first is there any application that works with the airport that show what networks are available and which of those are lock/unlock, something a bit better than the tool in the menu bar.


and second, some application that can retrieve or generate a password to connect to any wireless internet modem with my airport card

2. that is illegal, so no, there won't be any programs out there that'll do that.

Are you suggesting breaking into someones network ? I doubt you'll manage with WPA or WPA2, possibly WEP.

I can't imagine many people would condone that sort of activity here so you wont get much help. If you were trying to break into my network I'd be pissed off, so most people here would feel the same.

thank guys for the wifi software, as for he network goes, well is it possible at least? if its,can you guys or anyone point me in what direction to go? i just want to be able to connect to the internet in my home , im a poor college student :o , i get like 20 deferents connections but all are lock, and i just wanna be able to get online

Whether you are poor, or a student, or both, cracking passwords and stealing someone's wireless access (and therefore invading their network) - is wrong.

Cracking a WEP key is illegal, but not very difficult. Just Google it
