Ok i want to put vista on my MBP and my brother just got the home premium upgrade for his PC so i was wondering if i could use the vista upgrade cd for bootcamp. It's not a reformat disc just an upgrade disc. So is it possible?

Not really. It'll violate the EULA.

Are you working from an already installed XP? If so yes. But you may have problems when it comes to activating a copy that has already been activated.

Perhaps, but discussing illegal matters is not welcome on MR.

how does it violate the EULA? it allows up to 5 uses.

5 hardware changes but not on the same machine at the same time.
If it is the first install you would need a valid copy of XP SP2 as well to install under bootcamp.
