I basically buy all my music because I like to know that I physically own it, but then again, it's very hard to find particular Indie music, so I use Acquistion although I never find anything. So basically is there any P2P software on the Mac that can get better results than Acquisition?

ok, every day there is a post somewhere on macrumors asking about P2P software. arn, can't we just put a huge banner at the top of the front page that just says "DON'T ASK! JUST DOWNLOAD LIMEWIRE AND GET ON WITH YOUR LIFE. WE KNOW IT"S NOT THAT GREAT BUT IT'S ALL WE'VE GOT." , or something to that affect?

i agree with musicjon. I think mlMac is the best P2P program that i have used so far. The best feature is that it uses the Kazaa network as well as eDonkey and Gnutella. This enables you to find more of what you want from diffrent networks.

Best P2P for Mac are:
1. mlMac
2. DirectConnect
3. LimeWire
4. Acquisition

i know about all these others you guys have mentioned but i haven't found any of them to work very well. these may be able to find a bunch of files but i can almost never download anything. i always suggest Limewire because it's the only one that actually works for me.

actually my connection is a super fast cable hookup. when i use mlMac about 99% of my downloads will be stalled for hours until i eventually give up. i can get some stuff, but usually never anything i actually want. probably just too many damn people on there.

Acquisition beats LimeWire any day. When mlMac works, it beats them both. For finding anything but Mac apps, KaZaA is better than any of them.
