Like the other 800,000 people on this board, I got the new 2.2ghz MBP (no issues cept teeny bit of yellowing, solved via calibration ) but I noticed something weird.
Windows XP runs like a bat outta hell. Games run smooth and silky, I never get the little hourglass, I can just run the crap out of it.
Mac OS? Different story. It takes a good 10-15 seconds to put it to sleep (my old macbook took about 3) and about 10 seconds to wake back up (again, Macbook was pretty near instant). When I use expose to open all the windows at once it's sluggish. Not super bad, but enough that I notice it. If I make the windows appear then disappear 4 or 5 times in a row then it goes smooth but it's kinda weird. I get the stupid spinning beachball a fair amount and it has actually frozen up on me a few times. WTF?
My friend who also has a MBP says his runs a little slower than he expected as well. Anyone else getting this? Think I should reformat the HDD? (if I do, I don't lsoe my Windows partition do it? It took hours to download Half Life 2 and I don't wanna do it again!)
