Am I able to partition it to 80GB for Windows and 80GB for my Mac side (I have a 160GB drive) and have everything run ok?

Yes.

Keep in mind 160GB has a capacity of only 149GB, so you might be better off with roughly 75GB each.

PS. you can edit titles by double clicking them when in the forum category, or click Go Advanced when editing a post.
