The phone cannot be used with another network's SIM card without unlocking it.

You can sync it with another itunes account, but then you will lose your synced info from your account. So you won't be able to "borrow" music that way.

You can do it with any iPhone, but with 3G and 3GS it has to be activated first, so since your on a two year contract it wouldn't make much sense...
