iMac to ps3 streaming?

Is there a software for streaming media to the ps3 like connect360 does for the xbox360? I was thinking of purchasing an appletv but I'd only use it for music and podcasts, so if a ps3 could do these things, I'd be worth the extra cost because of the games and hi-def movies.

TwonkyVisions _BUT_ it does no transcoding on the fly, so if the audio/video formats are not supported by the PS3 you will be out of luck.
