Which is better? [Archive] - MacRumors Forums

I am going to load bootcamp on an external drive but not sure which one to use.

1 is a 40 gig 5400 RPM firewire 400 drive and the other is a 7200 RPM 250 gig Firewire 800 drive.

I wana Know if there will be a noticable difference in the two when I am playing games. Is 400 fast enough?

Windows won't boot a firewire drive because of an issue with the drivers, but USB will work. Check this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=191777) out.
