Youtube download to A TV

I downloaded a video from YouTube and converted it to .mp4 and a .mov file in order to put in iTunes and ultimately on my AppleTV. The files play fine in iTunes but I get an error when trying to sync to the ATV. Something that the video format is not compatible message.

Any suggestions on how to get this to play on my ATV?

it's true that apple tv doesn't play all .mov files! I have some that play well in itunes but cannot be played on ATV. I don't know which program u used to convert the video from flash to.mov(or . mp4) but if u use "Tube TV" you won't experience such problems!!!At least mine works great.......

You could just right click your video and say "Convert Selection for AppleTV"
