While testing my latest creation (described here), I noticed that Safari is significantly slower than Firefox in rendering pages with PNG images, especially when there is transparency involved. This is Safari for Windows (did not "upgrade" my Mac).
BTW, same page using same size JPGs displays much faster!

Anybody else noticed the same thing? 😕
 
I have safari running on my Vista machine.

and it renders PNG and flash very slow for the first few times you load them then it seems to speed up. 😕
