Mac partition of external harddrive not showing up?

My external harddrive is partitioned so that theres a windows and mac partition and it was working ok for awhile but now only the windows partition is showing up on OSX?

Does it show up in Disk Utility? If so, try verifying it to see if it has any problems.

Its coming up but theres an error. I tried verifying then repairing the disk but it says the underlying task reported failure on exit?

I don't think that this'll solve it, but have you tried restarting your Mac and shutting off and then turning back on the external hard drive?
