Is anyone else having sync issues with calendars or anything else? My iTunes just seems to be continually telling me it's syncing and it takes forever. Once it dropped off completely like it was no longer connected to the mac.

Thanks,

Ken

I am not having sync issues with itunes, but i cannot sync calendar events that i create in the iphone. It does sync ical events TO the iphone just fine.

My iPhone does the same thing -- it says it's syncing and doesn't stop. Oddly, however, my iPhone events show up on iCal but nothing from iCal shows up on my iPhone.

I would love to solve this mystery.

I am unable to sync calendar events I create on the iPhone into iCal either.

I am up and running fine with the exception that the calendar function won't sync to iCal. It says that iPhone has disconnected itself each time I try. I also can't get iPhoto to sync pictures, because it apparently won't recognize my Pictures folder. I was able to copy some pictures into a desktop folder and sync them from there. Anyone else with these issues?

Oh, my bookmarks will not sync either (I guess I'm not ok after all)

I aslo had problems syncing my calendars with my iPhone. I tried the troubleshooting assistant (http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/troubleshooting/itunes/) to no avail. I tried a number of things based on various discussions (e.g., delete all calendars exept one, get rid of recurring events). I finally found a post on Apple's support dicussions that solved it for me: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1016820&tstart=45. In short, use iSync's preferences to delete your sync history. I did this and now it syncs beautifully.

I've set iTunes to "Put new events creatd on this iPhone into the calendar" to my "Home" calendar, but when I create a new event on my iPhone and sync, the event shows up in the Read-Only "US Holidays" calendar (it's one that I subscribe to from Apple). I've tried the "Reset Sync History" feature in iSync several times (rebooting afterwards) but the problem persists. Any ideas??

The only solution I've found is to disable all other calendars but Home in iTunes -- but that's not much of a solution as I need those other calendars :(

This worked for me this morning...

Open iTunes.
Open Microsoft Outlook.

In Outlook follow these menus: Tools - Options - Other - Advanced Options - COM Add-Ins

Make sure "iTunes Outlook Addin" has a check mark.
Make sure "Outlook iTunes Sync Addin" has a check mark.

Click Ok to close.

Restart Outlook.

Perform Sync in iTunes.

Both Calendar and Contacts now Synch fine.

the only hitch with that solution is that I'm on a Mac ;-)

I tried this as well, hoping it would help - unfortunately, even thougth I check both boxes (itunes outlook addin and outlook itunes sync addin) and click Ok to close - it didn't take effect. When I went back to see if I missed something, both boxes were UNchecked. No matter how many times I've tried, the boxes do not stay checked - any more thoughts or help on this?

Greatly appreciated if so... This is driving me crazy and neither Apple nor AT&T have been any help.

Thanks.

I got it to work!!!
Here is what to do.
Open address book.
Highlight all your contacts.
Select file, export vCards. Do it.
Get a yahoo account, or go to your yahoo page.
Click on e-mail. Click addresses, and there is an import/export button.
Click it, and select your back up Vcard.
All your data will be uploaded.
On itunes, select yahoo for updating contacts.
Sync.
Done!!!
It worked for me anyway.
Now, if I could just get my bookmarks to sync.

Here is the fix. Just open up Outlook and go to Help, About Miscrosoft Office Outlook. In the bottom right hand corner click on Disable Items... Next you must enable the ITunes Sync option. Then go back and checkmark the addin and it will stay checked this time. Connect your iphone and it will sync your contacts!
